To make it easier for those readers interested in financially supporting our cause, we've added a donate button to the site! Donations will be processed via Paypal, and are thus safe and secure. All of the funds donated to the blog's account will go directly to the Casa.
Stay tuned for fundraising updates, and to find out how your contributions will be used to help the Casa. Thanks for your support!!

Is your organization a 501(c)(3) or are you doing it through Amnesty? Love you, Mom.
ReplyDeleteThe Casa is a certified non-profit in Peru, however it does not have 501 (c)(3) status in the United States. It is something that we are interested in making happen, and there is a professor here that will be able to help us!
ReplyDeleteTo clarify, the Casa is not a 501 (c)(3) organization, but Bryant University is. So for tax purposes, donations made to us are deductible becuase they are being funneled through the university.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, we are working on getting 501 (c)(3) status for the Casa; depending on the amount of money raised and the precise costs of hiring a lawyer, the funds donated here will be used to do so!
